Tiny Jamstix updates that don\'t warrant a version # change?

Post by non_drummer (Archive) »

I think I have some OCD tendencies, and for whatever reason I'll sometimes start the Jamstix manager and see if my installation is up to date even though no update message has been posted on the website. While normally this accomplishes nothing, I've noticed that ever since the v4.4 betas came out, maybe 3-4 times there *have* sometimes been tiny, quick updates available, including this morning, 9-28-19.

Jamstix still shows as v4.4.1.... but is it really more like v4.4.1.1 but it's just not worth mentioning???

I'm not complaining; I was just born with a quadruple helping of natural curiosity for some reason.

Tiny Jamstix updates that don\'t warrant a version # change?

In this specific case we fixed a minor issue in a configuration file for use with the upcoming Neo60 MiniPak. Such config changes do not require a rebuild of the plugins so we don't increase the version #.

The reason we didn't alert anyone to the update is that it only affects things when working with Neo60 and anyone would pull the update anyway later on when purchasing Neo60.
