It's cool, I understand, seriously. I can tell you from firsthand experience after having lunch with Ralph a few weeks ago that this is extremely frustrating for him also.
I do not fully understand the technical issues personally but I do know if there was some Rabbit that Ralph could pull out of his hat to resolve all of the issues with Mac, it would have already been a done deal. There was no shortage of issues when JS3 was compiled for OSX either.
I know it’s very early, but what are your plans for supporting the upcoming Apple Silicon macs?
I really appreciate all your efforts of porting Jamstix from windows to Mac and it’s a bit unfair that now that you’re (nearly?) there, Apple ditches Intel and will have you guys redo alll the work.
Thanks for a great app that has served me well ever since version 1
While we're waiting for the latest Mac OS Update, I thought I would try installing Reaper/Jamstix 4 on a windows 7 VM (VMWare Fusion on Catalina) and at least get some composing done that way.
After installing both products and then setting up a Jamstix 4 Track, I attempted to load up a drum kit. After I select it, the colors of the whole drum kit turns the color red. I see MIDI activity, but no audio. I know Reaper uses ASIO as a preference. Does this mean I need to install ASIO drivers or is there something else going on?

Please email me c:\ProgramData\Jamstix4\Logs\Jamstix Plugin Log.txt so I can check this out.
Damn. New iMac and upgraded to macOS 10.15.7. First jamstix wouldn’t load samples in Logic Pro X. The drum kit was all red. After trying a repair with Jamstix manager, Jamstix just refuses to load and gives an error -50.
Removed all traces of Jamstix, downloaded the manager tried doing the install again and now the manager is nowhere to be found. I run the install package and it does it’s thing, but the manager app is not in my programs folder.

Hi, did you manage to get this working on M1 Mac in any DAW?

OK ignore me, user error. I'm new to Mac but probably not a great excuse - all of the Install Option tick boxes were unchecked so I blindly checked them - one being "install without sound data". The first one "use Jamstix 3 sound data" I guess is implied checked.
