Jamstix 4.4.3 Beta 3 (macOS) is now available

Free space on my hard drive is limited these days, so if the files do remain, I would like to manually delete them.
The cached install files go to this folder:
~/Library/Application Support/Jamstix4Install/cache

You can delete the RXP4 files in that folder after installation. Only side effect is that you won't be able to do a 'Repair' via the manager if you delete them. Also, if you ever 'Reinstall' in the manager tool then the files will be re-downloaded.

I hear ya. We've all been there, but hard drives are CHEAP these days.

Just checking in to see if there is any update on the beta and when we might expect a full release?

A year ago I said "never".....now one and a half year since WIN release and still waiting I'll repeat my guess....Never.

Too bad. Jamstix is such a good idea. Hope some of the big companies will make a buyout some day to make things happen.

Looks like you said Jamstix 4 itself was never going to happen ding_dong. It has and so will the OSX version when Ralph says it's ready.

That's pretty lame wishing that Ralph's company and his incredible customer support would be bought out by some "big company" which might work at a speed more to your liking. They'd probably charge you 3 or 4 times as much also and not give you a second thought once your check cleared the bank. Be careful what you wish for.

I was talking about osx.
I would be happy to pay 3-4 times as much for a working pro version....but with a 2 year delay for the WIN version plus an additional year and a half without the OSX version ready....well...then customer support is a bit irrelevant.

Any updates on the beta Ralph? Even a ballpark date for the next beta or even a release candidate?

Anyone had any luck getting the beta to work in PT 2019 under Mojave? I’ve tried everything I can think of, but no matter what, JS4 causes PT to hang and renders the session unloadable. I’m patient as I develop software myself and understand it’s hard but I have to get the work done.

We are transitioning to an updated compiler for macOS (finally!) but that itself is still in Beta, so while this is costing additional time, it will eventually lead to a better product.

We do not have an AAX version of the JS4 macOS Beta, yet.

Hi Ralph - understood re:AAX, I know you’re working on that. I was inquiring if anyone had managed to get the beta working in PT/Mac using a VST/AU wrapper or something. I tried various methods and wrapper plugs to no avail; I know you can’t help on wrappers, etc. Anybody else have ideas? 🙂
