whats the reasoning behind this please

Apparently buyers from some time in 2014 get a free upgrade to JS4... :?
A few..even six months grace period I could understand but, three years :o

so the buyers who have been around longer are..it seems, penalized..

there may a sensible explanation for this but it seems a bit strange to me.

why 2014?

anyone?

The free upgrade was originally an added incentive to purchase Jamstix 3. The unforeseen length of time that JS4 has been under development is what accounts for the strange time frame of that offer. Personally I don't see it as anyone being penalized but actually rather decent of Ralph to honor the offer for such an extended period.

+1- and the upgrade cost Ralph posted forthe rest of us is going to be very reasonable, IMO.
