Our forum is one of the few places where you virtually NEVER get a snarky RTFM reply

I was just doing some things with groove imports, and a few things struck me. Realize the overall interface is probably frozen, but some things to consider going forward...
1. The dialog lets you select a enclosing directory, and gives the the option of including sub folders. But on the right hand pane it just flattens out the hierarchy and lists all the individual grooves with no indication of what sub folder they came from. Since a lot of file libraries use a single naming convention for files and identify them by the enclosing directory it can make it kind of difficult to pick unless you are just clicking around or know exactly what you want to begin with. Would be helpful to have some sort of identifier to indicate that structure. Tree might be nice, but even a separator line above a grouping of grooves indicating the full path would be handy.
2. Related to that, the location listing on the left pane doesn't scroll to the left. So a long path will get truncated, also making it harder to differentiate. A scroll bar for entries that exceed the pane width would help, and a left/right justify option might be a nice to have.
3. There doesn't seem to be a way to remove history other than manually editing the jamstixe.ini file. Would be nice to be able to clear individual entries or the entire history. Other thing about the history is that it might be handier to be able to see the last choices at the top rather than the bottom.
Just my $,02.

+1 on those, I was also just working with groove import yesterday & noticed all three things.
Also, maybe you could clarify: Groove import is a single bar, correct? If so, would it be possible at some point to extend that? I have several longer loops (4- and 8-bar) that I would like JS to interpret. Or is there a better way?

Ok, good to know!
I wasn't sure, I got the impression that it was only 1 bar. One more (kinda dumb) question (sorry to go OT...) - so if I import a 16-bar groove and use it in a song, does the song part govern how much is used, i.e. (given the same groove applied to all parts):
8 bar verse with 1 repeat - 1st 8 bars of groove played twice, NOT the full 16 bar groove?
4 bar chorus with 4 repeat - 1st 4 bars, repeated 4 times
16 bar bridge, no repeat - complete 16-bar groove
Is that about how it works?

The length of the part equals how many bars of the imported groove are used.
