That is an old version of audioM8 that will not work with V3.6. Please check your plugin folders and make sure you only include the new audioM8.dll of V3.6sonicviz wrote:Audiom8 shows v1.6 and a VU meter and is detecting audio aok.

ah..strange problem.Ralph [RZ] wrote:That is an old version of audioM8 that will not work with V3.6. Please check your plugin folders and make sure you only include the new audioM8.dll of V3.6sonicviz wrote:Audiom8 shows v1.6 and a VU meter and is detecting audio aok.
I had an old version of Jamstix 2 still in my vstplugins folder but whenever I dragged the audiom8 from the Jamstix3 folder into an audio track it was picking up the old version. Live seemed to have gotten confused.
I moved the old Jamstix2 folder out of VSTplugins and now picks up the correct Audiom8 version.
It would be great to have an input check on the Audiom8 like the old version though, it's useful to know in order to fine tune the input levels.
The VU meter was very useful on the audiom8 imo.
ty!

Beta 28 is now out for PC and OSX.
We are especially interested in these issues:
a) Audio crackling/overloads
b) White screen errors on load (i.e. Core Access Error)
If you still have any of these with Beta 28, please email me \Documents\Jamstix3\rzdlog.txt and a brief description of the error/behavior.
Thanks!

Beta 28 Feedback:
Like the manuals link. Seems simple, but when you have addons very useful.
1. Can you please fix the double click song in wizard to open the right song.
Maybe this is wrong atm because it lists everything in the song folder even if they are in subfolders. I have subfolders to hold my LiveLooped songs which I have to prefix with LL so they get sorted properly.
It would be MUCH better if the wizard view showed the folder structure as it is, with subfolders, so you can better organize and select songs by whatever category you want. A more advanced method might also be the tag system as used by Native Instruments and Spectrasonics, so you can filter by tag.
I suspect the double click is picking up the index only for what is in the top level root song folder, which is why it is opening the wrong one (at least for me with my folder structure). You can possibly repro by creating some subfolders with prefixed songs in them.
2. Please bring back some form of metering on Audiuom8. It closes the loop between seeing what the actual signal level is and how the audio jamming settings affect the power knob.
more testing...

It worked now in the one project that so far always came up with the white screen. Bitwig Studio 1.0.8 RC2.Ralph [RZ] wrote:Beta 28 is now out for PC and OSX.

Cool
Thank you!
And yes, I think having the Jamstix Manager on Windows as well would be very welcome.
Cheers,
Tom

Will definitely be fixed in next Beta.sonicviz wrote:1. Can you please fix the double click song in wizard to open the right song.
Originally, the quickstart song list was not designed to be a major functional element. Will be looking into expanding this for JS4.It would be MUCH better if the wizard view showed the folder structure as it is, with subfolders, so you can better organize and select songs by whatever category you want. A more advanced method might also be the tag system as used by Native Instruments and Spectrasonics, so you can filter by tag.
This may have to wait until JS4. We're just way behind the curve right now.2. Please bring back some form of metering on Audiuom8. It closes the loop between seeing what the actual signal level is and how the audio jamming settings affect the power knob.
