beta6 cubase 6.01
Try this: uninstall, then create a folder called e.g Jamstix35beta where you would normally store your samples (this should guarantee that you'll have full access and there will be no file permissions issues), then run the installer and force everything, both Jamstix and the VSTi, to install into that folder. Worked for me -- the trick was to run the installer under the same account I run Cubase, not as Administrator.

In technical terms, it looks like Jamstix 3.5 beta 6 needs to be installed using the same LUA ("Limited User Account", Microsoft term for non-privileged, or normal user account) that will be used to run the Cubase instance which needs to load it, and it should be installed to a location where that account has "full control" file permissions.

Hi Ralph,

The 8th Rock style presets "More" & "Most" will not compose. (The GIF is too large for a thumbnail) [color=red:4dc6002e2b][b:4dc6002e2b]:CORRECTED[/b:4dc6002e2b][/color:4dc6002e2b]

Also fellow Reaper 64 users if you are seeing strange things happening such as the GUI not loading properly when adding Jamstix to a project track or menus acting completely crazy, check the following. Right click Jamstix in the add fx menu, under "Run as" deselect Embed bridged UI. It was causing me all sorts of headaches until I figured out what was going on.
Don't get it - that option wasn't even selected in my default installation.
Not getting that here ... N.B. I installed everything to one folder that has permissions set to User group full control. No problems in either Cubase or Reaper. I also ran the installer as a normal user, i.e. not while logged in as Administrator.
Set the permissions for the Jamstix folder did nada for me. What DID work was setting the permissions for Users for the Reaper folder.

I hope this isn't still there in the release version. If so I may not be moving forward for a while.

To those with the "246xxxxxxx is not a valid integer value" error. Does this happen when adding/loading JS or while it is running?

I have been getting the "not valid integer" message when loading JS into the VST rack (after cubase asking if I want to create a midi track for the plugin - I have tried creating a new midi track, and also not creating a midi track for this option with no change; Usually the GUI doesn't display correctly), and I have also had it come up after having loaded up the plugin (where the GUI displays correctly and JS looks normal) and then trying to select any/some? of the tabs or wizard button. I have also been loading JS in other projects with no hint of the "not valid integer" message. For me, I found if BFD2 was loaded into the rack, more often than not, I'll get this message, but if I remove BFD2, JS will not display this message. I'll try and do some more testing and see what happens.

I am still seeing the same issues the have been reported in the last three betas:

1) My .RXP drum-sets are not loading ( even after re-installing the packs)
2) No drag and drop

I tried some more, but still get nothing usable at all.

Jamstix 3.3 works just fine in 32 Bit Studio One. and also in 64 Bit Stuidio One with jBridge if 3.5 wasn't loaded first. In that case, I get a blank interface in 3.3.

Is there any MS Runtime or other things that could be missing?

I'd really love to participate in the beta, but so far I don't see any of the main screens and can't load players, styles or kits or anything.

Cheers,

Tom
