Ralph [RZ] wrote:I wanted to update all of you on what we are working on and what the release schedule is at the moment.

We are in internal Beta on Jamstix 3.5 64-bit (VST), Jamstix 3.5 32-bit (VST) and Jamstix 3.5 32-bit (RTAS). There will be an external Beta with a few features disabled (MIDI drag/drop, Subhosting, Compact UI) scheduled to start around the end of this month. Jamstix 3.5 does not bring new features but the GUI will be slightly different since it now has to be cross-platform capable (see screenshot below).

In parallel we are also working on Jamstix 3.5 OSX (VST/AU) with an unknown release. After that we will have achieved a common code base and will work toward Jamstix 4. Meanwhile, there will be several expansion Paks. In 2013, we will restart JamBassist development and also develop a scaled-down version of Jamstix OSX for the iPad. Our eye is also on iOS and Android beyond that.

Thank you all for your support and patience!

Hi Ralph just trying out this version and I notice I can't click on the drummers name of each part and change it as I could on the earlier version are you going to put this functionality back? Do like the new GUI and extra hi hat options.

Thanks Ralph
Thanks for a great program.
By the way I renamed my original jamstix.dll to jamstixbackup.dll and I find that both show up in my vst plugin choices and I can use either. Will doing that cause any problems??

Please rename jamstixbackup.dll to jamstix.dll.bak

Hosts scan for the DLL extension.

I recently switched to Mac and I'm really missing jamstix. So I'm glad to read that you are working on an OSX Version. I hope I don't have to wait for too long. Jamstix is a fantastic program!

Happy New Year Ralph. Party hard and drink lots because after the hangovers I sure would like to see a status report on a mac version of Jamstix. Thanks!
