Hi Jamstix People,
I am an absolute noob to Jamstix but from what I have seen on this site and various online tutorials it looks great.
I have downloaded the Demo version and I don't know whether this is intentional, but the Compose function does not work. I go through the motions of setting Verse, Chorus, Bridge etc, selecting a style, selecting a drummer but when I click Compose nothing happens, no response either if I select Recompose | Whole Part from the menu.
BTW: I'm using Jamstix 3 with Reaper 3.66.
Also, where is the Play button to play existing songs. All I have is a Lock and Forward and Reverse nav buttons.
Like I said I am a noob and I apologise if these issues have been dealt with elsewhere in these forums. Any help would be great.

Compose does not work on Demo
Jamstix is always synched to the host so if you play the host, JS will follow. it will also compose as needed and the 'Compose' button is only needed if you want to get a new variation from JS. It will then recompose when the host plays (or records).

Thanks for the response Ralph.
I was under the impression that the drum pattern was created was created in JS first and then dragged into the host where it would play. But if the pattern is generated after hitting play/record in the host then problem solved.
As you have suggested I think I'll revist the tutorials, and the manual for that matter.
Thanks again Ralph.
