"Turn the Page"... a Blues-inspired song

Post by MartinG »

I'm not working with Jamstix every day... but when I do, I'm always shocked how easy I get results that I like. Here I came from the Purdie Shuffle, played by Charlie.
The song is maybe called "Turn the Page" until I have a better idea.
A female singer is going to be added.

Instruments:
Epiphone Casino
cheap no-name Western Guitar from 1978
Squier Jazz Bass
Bechstein Concert 8
Jamstix 3

Amp simulation and effects: Vandal (Samplitude plug-in)

Any comment is very welcome ;-)

Regards,
Martin

Got a nice feel.Vocal sound doesn't sit right for me.It doesn't match the rest of the mix.I think the slap back makes sit a little too different.

Thank you for that!
I suppose you are right. It's so difficult to get vocal sound right...
My idea was to have a Spector-like echo like in John Lennon productions. But the tonality is wrong, that's what I just thought.

I've just tweaked a bit... maybe better now??
