Yes, still yet to explore the whole package but very happy with the buy. There's alot more imrovements to what I was initially expecting. Well done.

Do you think the additional Groove Builder will be out by the summer...?

Hi Ralph,
now running JS3 RC1. and the large gui spurred me on to buying a new 23 inch monitor.....long overdue.
JS3 is fantastic. It will be a while before I get to explore it properly, but a great improvement on JS2.
I read the faq about time sig changes, and setting up host and JS3 with exact concurrency. Have done that, but am having sync problems with a simple test track which moves from 3/4 to 4/4, in Cubase VST 5/32, (old, but faithful).
Is there more to syncing than meets the eye? I notice there is a menu box in Cubase, for syncing, and I tried different commands in that, but to no avail, except it explained why cubase was always 2 bars behind Jamstix, and I was able to change that back to 0.
Many thanks,
Ian

The FAQ entry stays it all about time sigs. Most common mistake we've seen is the part alignment. You can check this easily by clicking on each part in JS3 which makes the JS bar counter jump to the start of that part.
Now make sure that there really is a corresponding time sig change in the host at the exact same time (bar change).

I'm afraid after much trying, I can't get the time signature changes synced.
made sure the host and the parts agree exactly where the changes happen.
If I have say bars 1-16 as 4/4 followed by bars 17 to 32 as 6/8, jamstix seems to want to play bars 1-16 as 6/8.
any ideas?

Did you click on each part length in JS3 and made sure that each part has the correct time sig set?

yes.
And I've tried various time signatures, part lengths etc.
