Have you (or anyone in the forum) run Jamstix on a windows install through Boot Camp on a Mac? I imagine that it would run as well as it would on a windows PC. Any thoughts there?

No difference from regular Windows install. I have even tried it in a VM - which isn't as great as native (there is extra latency), but it works.NathanB_30 wrote:Have you (or anyone in the forum) run Jamstix on a windows install through Boot Camp on a Mac? Ralph initially stated that he hoped/expected to have the OSX version out in 2010. Even if we allow for the inevitable development slips, my guess is it won't be all THAT long to wait.

I have a macbook pro with bootcamp win xp running jamstix through a SONAR 5. I only use jamstix to generate the midi track, and then i copy the file to my pro tools in Leopard.NathanB_30 wrote:Have you (or anyone in the forum) run Jamstix on a windows install through Boot Camp on a Mac? But to answer your question, it works fine with bootcamp, at least for me. Also i have addictive drums running at the same time. No prob.

Awesome- I may still go that route. I'm giving my wife my laptop, and I need to buy a copy of Windows 7 anyway...this works out great.

Macbook Pro + Bootcamp Win XP here.
Jamstix runs on Ableton Live 8 with no problem.
Windows on a Mac isn´t bad at all BTW, in fact it´s lightning- fast.
The licence money for the ability to run JS (and a few other PC only apps) was very well spent.
