How can you add space characters in the rudiment generator in Reaper? In Reaper 'space' starts/stops transport.

And I'd like to be able to choose from the common rudiments mentioned in the manual.

There should be a setting in REAPER to give plugins control over keys. If not, you can just skip the spaces as they are just cosmetic anyway.

We thought about adding a menu for common rudiments but it is easy to copy/paste from the manual. Furthermore, you will have to adjust for your desired accents anyway (i.e LRll instead of LRLL)

Hold the [SHIFT] key while pressing the [SPACE] key.

for A11 you mention looking in the manual to find out about the rudiment generator. What page does this appear on? I have the manual dated 28th Jan.

While I am here I would mention a typo on Page 14, first paragraph - "if you move a cymbal to far away" should be "too".

Also 8.1 song builder section, does not mention the new Middle 8 letter.

On initial testing it seems that the liveloop silence problem is now solved although the liveloop toggle still not operating as I would have expected.
This lead onto something about operational procedures that I've been puzzling over.
say for example you have a song which is tightly structure until the instrumental section (in which you want an extended jam)
In JS2 I would have core bars and required number of repetitions for each part with the instrumental section having core bars and say 100 repetitions. Live loop mode would be switched on at the start and the song will play through changing parts as they come to the end of their repetitions. On reaching the instrumental this would repeat until you get fed up and press the appropriate program change button to take you to the next part.
With JS3 if live loops is switched on at the start then each part is going to cycle through repeating the core bars until a program change is sent and this is OK as it can be controlled from the host app ie the host can auto send pg and appropraite times.
The problem with this is that the bar count in JS reflects what JS is doing and if your relying on the real bar count as a prompt then your stuck. for example if you have a short instrumental part say 16 bars long - it starts on bar 50 and finishes at end of bar 65. In JS i would name the part 'Instr - end bar 65' . With the large bar display visible I have an excellent visual prompt for winding up the instrumental and moving onto the next part. Now however this doesn't work.

So I assume that having the liveloop toggle means that you start the song with liveloops switched off then on reaching your jamming instrumental you can switch this on and jam then switch it off to move onto the next part.
Is this assumption correct ie is this the idea behind having the toggle?
If it is why wont it stay on.

Sorry for getting rather bogged down in this aspect it just that I'm really enthusiastic on getting JS3 into a gigging situation as there are so many advantages over JS2.
