Recording Jamstix output MIDI - no notes?

Hi - I'm using Reaper and Jamstix. My Axiom-49 keyboard (with pads) is the input device. I can happily tap out drum parts and record the input notes to the track.

But I have a plug in that will re-map keys before they hit Jamstix and I'd like to record the output of that plug in rather than the un-mapped input. So I figure the midi notes have to go through both the plug-in and Jamstix then I record the output.

When I set Reaper to record the output (midi) of the track, Reaper doesn't record any notes. If I bypass Jamstix so only the re-mapper is in the chain, and record the output of the track, I get notes as I expect. Jamstix is eating my notes.

Is there a way to get Jamstix to pass through the notes that are coming in?

Jamstix does not pass-thru manual MIDI notes. Its MIDI output is always the notes that the brain composes.

Is this the same if it's in Drum Module mode Ralph?

Yes, it's the same for drum module mode. I don't think any of the major drum library plugins do MIDI pass-thru.

It can be done using Reaper, but it's a bit cumbersome to work around this.

This would make a great option for drum module mode.
