Which Expansion Pack?

Post by Fletch »

Like a moron I only bought the basic Jamstix 2 instead of the XL. I've been kicking myself ever since. Well now that there's a sale going what do you think would be the best upgrade? I'm torn between getting the XL or the Bonzo pack. I'd love to hear some opinions.

Thanks

Depends what you wanna do...

Bonzo is without doubt a fantastic pak and I think most people have a sense of what to expect from it. It's great fun for rock-jammin'...

I would say XL covers a wider range of styles / sounds (for instance, the Brush Player and samples, which is great for some things but possibly not if you're exclusively into thrash punk / death metal...), but maybe has a less rich / comprehensive sample set for each kit (?)

Im saving up for the Bonzo and Metal. I can't wait to add some of that flavor to some of the songs im working on right now. I finally got my drive fixed and got back to work. I really like the mp3 demo songs of the metal pack, If I can use that with other styles like regular rock oh man that is going to sound nice. I also like how the toms sound rich and full, can't wait.
