Brand new to Jamstix

Hi guys.
Boy, there seems a mountain to climb here...Where do you start. An american pal of mine suggested my music needed decent drums and he recommended Jamstix... He said it was dead easy..Just opened it and I don't believe him..
I'm using Music Creator 4.
I also run GTP3. If I'm right Jamstix needs a synth and won't work in GTP3

Jamstix is a VSTi so the host needs to support that format. MC4 does but I'm not sure about GTP3.

A good tip is to read through the forum...you will find many usefull informations...

Start with a simple beat and try tweaking setting any ways you like...AND listen for the changes it produce on the groove... For me JS2 is a continual work in progress , i have not seen yet an end to the capacity of this software...it always surprise me in a good way..lol

I was using MC 4 and just upgraded to SHS 7XL. I'm fairly new to Jamstix myself. There is a great tutorial available that I did today and it helped out immensely. Here's the link...http://benvesco.com/tonemonster/home-studio/2008/jamstix-2-tutorial-1-your-own-studio-drummer/

If you look at the Jamstix manual, there is a "Quick Start" section that helps with learning the different features available as well.

Jamstix can be inserted as a vst plug-in in MC 4, but it also can be inserted as a soft synth. This is the method I use because I was informed that you more control over the output using as a synth.

Try those out and see how you make out.

Guitar tracks does nut support midi, it's audio only.
You need to use your MC4 software and load Jamstix as a synth.
