Another XL Pack question - re: Missing Sounds?

Post by Vocalpoint »

Howdy,

I am a long time JS user that upgraded to 2.x when it was released. During a recent reinstall - I installed Jamstix and stock data pak supplied along with my "bonzo"pak.

But when I go to load certain kits (presumably) with the XL designation - I get "X sounds missing" in the Load kit window.

I seem to remember back when 2.x was launched - there was some blurb about "if you are a 1.x user and have x, y and z - you do not need to upgrade to the XL Version of JS 2".

Remembering this - I did install my 1.x Snare Pak and a few other things - and I seem to have solved the Missing Sounds messages...

But for future reference - what exactly are "x, y and z" and what order do I need to install everything to ensure that I have all the sounds correctly installed to activate any Kit in JS2 and not get a "Missing Sounds" message?

Cheers!

The XL Pak equals the old DrumPak #1,#2,BrushPak,SnarePak and ePak, all together. That's why you had to install all your old Paks to get rid of the missing sound message. You will still get the message on electronic kits since you do not have the ePak.

Is there any special price to get the XL pack - given that I purchased pretty much all of the other paks?
