Dark side and Odd time issues

Post by Parisongs »

1.Dark side is visible and I can see some kits but one of them is all red in a strange way and none of the kits exhibit the signature high tom sound( Time intro)that are heard in the Dark side demos.
2. I do not see Odd time displayed as an add on anywhere.

The download manager stated all was installed correctly but it seems there are issues. Please help. Thanks

Hi Parisongs,

That Tom sound is a 3rd party VSTi named Royotoms available for free @ http://alanvista.com. The Darkside Pak contains mappings for it.

Regarding the other issues, first thing I would do is use the Manager to do a re-install of both Odd Time and Darkside if you haven't already. If that doesn't solve the problem definitely send an email directly to Ralph with the Manager app containing your log files.

Sorry I can't offer anything more specific.

Thanks for the info. That’s a bit strange that the Dark Side demo would include some hidden 3rd party samples. Do you have Ralph’s email? Thanks again

I mentioned the Royotoms VSTi in a thread on the forum regarding a Nick Mason style player and Ralph hinted at the upcoming Dark Side Pak. Ralph liked it and decided to include midi mappings for it in the Pak. That's the story behind that. It is mentioned on the audio demo page description that Royotoms was used.
