Drummer: Jason, Metal Pak

Style: Dial-A-Metal, Metal Pak

Kit: Rock Power w/ Kick 2 added and tuned panned differently, lower the Tom tunings and play with the mix levels in the mixer to balance things out. Honestly though EZD2 sounds dead on that track IMO.

On a different note for as much as people like to slag on Yngwie, the guy still holds the patent on making what he does look effortless and sound ridiculously like Yngwie and no one else. Any Guitarist who says they don't wish they could add what he does to their arsenal is not being honest. I still recall with amazement the first time I heard the Rising Force album.

Yeah Yngwie is great at what he does and no one does it like him IMO. He is a huge influence on me as a player although you may not be able to tell from what I have posted. He and Schenker.

I have seen him a few times in concert. Amazing. I like most of that stuff but Trilogy is one of my favorites from him.

Agreed, my 2nd favorite album after Rising Force. Unfortunately I've never gotten to see him live. Thank God for YouTube.

Another favorite of mine, who I was going to see in May until the show just got postponed is Frank Marino. Criminally under-appreciated IMO. First saw him in '78 at the Meadowlands in NJ with Nugent, Journey & Aerosmith, and Mahogany Rush simply wiped the stage up with everyone else as far as I was concerned. Their Live '78 album is still one of the greatest live albums IMO.

Just to add a general DAW tip.

Get a copy of a track you want to sound like as an mp3/wav. Use a BPM finder program to find it's BPM and then set the DAW to the correct BPM for the track and load it into one of your DAW tracks as a reference.

Then you can A/B the track as a reference whilst you work on your own track

I have not heard Mahogany Rush in ages. I better get on YT. I love Neil Schon but can do without Ted and Joe.
