Jamstix3 audio dropouts when using 2 instances
When i use 2 instances of the Jamstix3 32Bit VST-Plugin, i get random audio dropouts. This is with no other tracks and plugins loaded.
The system shows decent performance even with many other plugins loaded as long as there is only 1 instance of JS present.
Is it possible to limit the audio outputs of JS to a lower value than 8, as i only need 2 stereo channels anyway, in order to reduce the CPU load?
My setup is as follows:
HP Z600 with 2 x Xeon 2.53 Ghz, 12 GB DDR3 RAM, Samsung SSD 830 system disk, WD RE4 1TB data disk.
MOTU Traveller MK3 Firewire Interface on PCIe Controller with TI chipset
ASIO Buffer: 512 Samples at 16 Bit / 44.1 KHz
Windows 8.1, Ableton Live 9.1, MuLab 6.4.5, Jamstix 3.6.1

Try this: with the project loaded, go to the Windows task manager and set the priority on jamstix.exe to HIGH. Does that fix it for you?

Thanks Ralph, but unfortunately this doesn't help.
I've tried about anything from reinstalling OS to replacing graphics card, Audio-Interface and DAW, so finally i thought this may be caused by JS.
But it seems to only be the fact, that two JS instances of course take a lot of realtime bandwidth or something, which then leads to the dropouts.
I think this is a wierd problem with the workstation itself. Altough it's great CPU processing power, it has some dpc latency issues.
One last i could try is to replace the ECC memory with non-ECC.
What do you think?

Just sent you the rzdlog.txt
Have to say that i can't reproduce the dropouts at a given time, as they are completely random.
However, before i've copied the rzdlog.txt, i had a really bad audio dropout with very high cpu load, just after replacing the currently loaded project with another one (also with two instances of JS).

Please uncheck 'Load-On-Demand' in both instances and see if it fixes it.

Thanks, Ralph.
That fixed it not completely, but it seems to be somehow better now.
The CPU load in the host doesn't fluctuate no more, but stays on a fixed value and the dropouts are less frequently and much lighter.
This shows to me that the problem lies elsewhere, but JS can take it's part in reducing the CPU load, so there is less of a possibility that dropouts may occur.
That's ok!

I have the same problem when loading a 2nd intsance of jamstixx 3.6 in studio one v3 (also happened in v2). I'm using the 64bit plugin. I unchecked "load on demand" (even though I just use JS 'midi only' to trigger Addictive drums). the cpu hits are a bit less. but still unstable/unusable. as soon as i remove the 2nd instance, everything is fine again.

It doesnt allow me to do that in task manager; says "permission denied".
