Hi-hat open state not resetting
Using Charlie for verses and Dave for choruses
Using Modern Funk for both
Using Standard Funk - Mini kit
Since the tendency for Dave is to use the open hi-hat for a ride during the choruses, if I stop playback in the middle of a chorus and then recompose a verse part Charlie plays the hi-hat in the open position rather than closed like he normally does.
If I move the mouse around on various events in the bottom right then this resets itself but it get annoying quickly.

Sounds like Charlie is trying to learn from Dave
Seriously now: I can't duplicate this here, unfortunately. Also, if you want Dave to use the ride in the chorus, just select 'Ride' under 'Power Hand'.

Thanks for the hint on how to get the ride, but in my opinion it sounds good as it is. I was more concerned about why the hi-hats are played in the open position exclusively after a recompose and stopping during a chorus.
I'll see if I can come up with better steps to reproduce.

I had (have?) a similar problem, but I think I found the reason. In my case, I'm using the Jamstix/Addictive Drums combo kit. JS is sending CC4 midi controller to vary the HH pedal openness. But it doesn't reset itself on stop. So in my case, the opening bars are supposed to have a closed HH, but if JS stops somewhere that had just played an open HH, then the open HH will play at the beginning as well.
Would it hurt anything if JS were to reset CC values on stop?
Edit: I was wrong about my workaround. I need some help here...

Seriously? THIS is the kind of support we get?
Amazing! Thanks!
The Beta 2 seems to have fixed the problem. I'll let you know if it crops up again.

Hi, I have this problem with the latest beta (3.6 beta11).
The hi-hat doesn´t close after I´ve used a open hat. If I choose "closed" articulation" in the kit editor and click on the hihat, the sound is still open.
I´m trying to go back to 3.5 beta 8, to see if that fixes it.

Ralph,
It seems to happen when I jump around in a Project. The solution is to go back to the beginning of the song and press play. Then everything works fine again. It is not really a problem.
