No notes - all \'X-ed\' out

Post by Riggar_49 »

I'm running Jamstix 3.3 / Jamcussion in the lastest Ableton (Win 7 64 bit) and continually getting a situation where the song sheet shows beats but all with Xs through them? Why is this? this on normal drum and Jamcussion,

In the case this morning its a quickstart metal song. There's a kit, a player the power button well up ??

So looks like a bug? - this can't be the default position can it? - any ideas?

One way I can re-create this is to change kit on the fly.

The only way out (so far) is to remove the module and add back in again.
If I choose the default everything song - ie go straight to create song and play - ok

then change to another kit and then (nearly always) get silence as all notes X'd for all parts.

clearly a bug (at least on my machine)

any get around - is there a way to tell jamstix to ignore X'd notes?

I'm going to repeat in Reaper - see what happens

Ok - Still battling on with Ableton.

Now I've got complete silence with all notes x'd

I've noticed that whuile the song is running a mouse over the X says 'no kit piece' - even though there is - and even if I load another kit.

I also notice that mousing over the individual drums / cymbals produces no noise.

So it looks like Jamstix / the sounds aren't linking up?

Despite several removes add in again on the Ableton track any song via the wizard generates Xs for all notes.

Reloading Ableton sorted it

I'll send you the 3.3 Beta on Monday, which fixes this.
