Automating Jamstix 3 in FL Studio

Post by German_Fafian »

Hi there. I'm trying to automate J3's Dynamics button throughout a song but it seems as if FL does not receive any information of the button movement.

For those who don't know. In FL you automate by moving the button and then use Tools - Last tweaked and create an automation. But with J3 there is no parameter in the list. As if FL has not recognized that I am moving the button.

Has this been noted before? I just can't seem to find anything relevant to this while using the forum search button.

JS does not send the knob data to the host. Please create an envelope in the host and shape it as needed.

Basically the problem is that I can draw the envelope but I need to assign it to the parameter to be automated but this parameter does not sj¡how up in the Parameter list in FL.

That's odd, it's a VST automation parameter called 'Song Power Level'.

"Issue" sorted out with the help of Reflex from the FL Forum;
Open the plugin window menu and select "Browse parameters".

If the parameter is in that list, then FL should respond to changes from within the plugin (i.e. be able to record automation).

If it's in the list and FL doesn't record automation for it, check the wrapper options. There's an option called "Notify about parameter changes", which might be off.

Reflex
In case anybody else has this same situation.
The "Browse parameters" was th trick to create an automation.
