Ralph,
I'm using the latest Jamstix 3.31 beta 2, and I've also tested this with the straight 3.30, and I've noticed the following problem: The "Carmine" drummer model frequently fails to properly compose the first beat of any part, so it doesn't get the underline under that beat column in the composition grid, and you don't see the hit appear in the grid, although you do hear the hit played. Then when you play through that part again, it will completely recompose the part each time. I don't think the problem occurs 100% of the time, but it happens more often than not. You should be able to reproduce it as follows:
1. Add Jamstix to an empty project in your DAW (I'm using SONAR X1c 64-bit)
2. In the Song Wizard, just change the drummer to Carmine and accept all the other defaults
3. Play through the resulting song at least through the first verse, and notice it fail to compose the first beat of that verse
4. Play through again and notice it recomposing the whole verse (and probably the intro too, even though that part does show the first beat underline the first time through.)
Also, I thought I may have noticed this happening on one other drummer, but I don't remember for sure, or who it was. I will post back if I find it.
