Please explain the "alternating" from connective p

Post by jas_lan »

Sorry,
One more question.
From the Custom style in Jamcussion...
Could someone please explain the different choices of the "alternating" dropdown in the "connective pattern" control?
I tried experimenting and honestly could seem to come up with any logical conclusion of what this does.

This Custom Jamcussion style is really quite powerful. I think understanding how to set the groove weights and using the brain elements available in the custom style are crucial to getting a pattern the way you want it.
Sincerely,
J.L.

"Alternating" controls the way JC chooses between the main sound and the alternate sound of a kit element (i.e. open and closed triangle and slow down/fast up guiro stroke).

'Low Vel' = if velocity is below 80, the alternate sound is played

'Low Weight' = if groove weight is not heavy, the alternate sound is played
