Unwanted conga hit using song wizard

Post by R Green »

Having bought the marvellous and essential AI pack I have been getting back into JS3 again.
In order to try out AI I have been using the initial song in the Wizard that comes up when JS3 loads. It includes a Jamcussion kit.
I build song, press play, and on bar 1 beat 1 I get one conga hit sounding as part of the intro. I don't think it should be doing this.

This is with v3.1 of course (to allow the use of AI).
(I still remembered to back up my rudiments and structures .inis before installing 3.1 - I thought you were going to do something about that? At least warn people they will be wiped by the installer?).

I have tried control clicking to turn off Jamcussion, and this single hit still sounds - even though Jamcussion is silent from then on.
Maybe the note is being sent out to my midi equipment by JS not Jamcussion - I will have a look.

Or maybe this may be related to another problem I have where, if I set up four drumsticks as a count-in, the first one seems to be ambience only.
The next three are then ok.

Extra hits in intros will be fixed in the next Beta though I'm not sure that applies here since it happens even with JC muted.

I think this is a fault of the sequencer. Sorry to bother you. The conga hit only happens if 'monitor input' is ticked. It must be generating a midi note on message when the sequencer is started. Goodness knows why.
