EX. if you click show all in vsti rack - and you have JS set for 6 outputs , do you ever see more than first four listed?
If not , have you found a way to manually create and assign output tracks to JS?
I've also posted in cubase forum .
thanks

Hi,

I'm not quite sure where you're coming from or going to here so forgive me if I've misunderstood.

I use Cubase Studio 4 and Jamstix 2. I have Jamstix set to output 8 mono channels and this runs through 1 instance of a VST instrument. The 8 channels appear in the Cubase mixer and are then mixed (following ProfRhino's suggestions) via 4 extra channels in the mixer and come out in the song as a single stereo track.

If I hadn't followed ProfRhino's buss suggestions then I guess I would have 8 mono tracks in my song but still running on 1 VST instrument. This is a setup that I've turned into a template so that I don't have to create all the busses etc each time I start a new song.

I'm not clear about why you would want to have Jamstix running more than once but I'm only a happy amateur. If I've missed the point of your post please ignore me; if what I've described is anything like what you're trying to do I'll try and help further.

hey - no i just want one instance of jS2 - my problem is this - i want to route the kik /snare/ toms /cym /hihat ect to individual tracks - when i set up js to send 7 outputs , the vsti rack in Cubase 4 only shows 4 tracks when "display all " is clicked .
so it looks like i have to find a way to manually create these tracks in cubase , then assign the additional js2 tracks to them - and really , thats not worth it for the trouble - i was just wondering if somehow js2 is not telling cubase it has 7 ( or whatever output track choice i want) that they are there - and thats why the most cubase will see is 4 .
People using other drum apps say when the select " display all " in the cubase vsti rack - they see whatever combo they have set up in their drum app.

thanks for taking the time to respond tho !
