Jamstix & REAPER

Post by Azimuth (Archive) »

Hi,
Are you using 32 bit or 64 bit Windows? Did you choose the correct options under Install Options in the Manager when you installed Jamstix 4. Also in Reaper, Jamstix would show up in the VSTi folder not the VST folder.

#1 I'm on Windows 7 64 and Reaper 64

I choosed many options:

I set the Vst Path in the ReaperDAW as usual: many paths
or to Progarm Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins folder or
tried to use Progarm Files (x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugins

I tried jamstix4 32bit installation or 64 bit installation
I tried my old jamstix3 installation

#2 I tried my Windows 10 PC with Ableton

Always the same: They are in the VstPlugin folder but the DAWs only show the audioM8 plugin in a white Square without any knobs. But not the jamstix vst

This is what AudioM8 looks like on my system, this is normal.

If you have jamstix4.dll in the correct Reaper vst folder, and it is not showing up in Reaper's [color=red:aec4ddaeec][b:aec4ddaeec][u:aec4ddaeec]VSTi[/u:aec4ddaeec][/b:aec4ddaeec][/color:aec4ddaeec] folder I'm not sure what the problem might be. If Ralph doesn't reply here, you might want to send an email to support@rayzoon.com and ask him.

Using REAPER I am losing sound of Jamstix track 3.5 seconds into playback. Not sure what to do. Drums sound becomes barely audible. Another recording loses drum sound from the start.

I am using the latest Reaper 64 bit and everything is working properly. Do you have some volume or Jamstix Song Power automation on your track that you are unaware of?

Possibly. Is there a way to turn that feature off.

Sound is off on drums when I first open project. If I play to start of song and start again, then I have drums for two seconds.
