Song Builder

<t>I am really enjoying using JS3, it has a really nice interface. One very minor thing that I think would improve the flow a little would be if it was possible to click on the names of the parts in the songbuilder to build the string instead of having to type them from the keyboard.<br/>

Tutorials for Jamstix 3

<t>Hi Kevvvvv<br/>
<br/>
I understand your predicament but! to my mind a piece of software as complex as Jamstix should be approached the same way as learning a new instrument. Whilst tutorials are valuable, asking for them to cover every aspect is like asking for a few tutorials to cover every ...

CD/Album finished at last!

<t>Thanks for the kind words.<br/>
<br/>
To be honest, I let Jamstix drive mostly. I set the time sig, selected the basic jam style and drummer (maybe changed my mind a few times until it was close). Set up the arrangement and fills, automated the volume within the sequencer, edited a few bass drum ...

CD/Album finished at last!

<t>I have just finished an album of what I describe as melodic funky jazz. It is soon to be available net wide via CD Baby et al. All drums & percussion courtesy of Jamstix2.<br/>
<br/>
I still can't believe how real the drums sound and feel. I could have sworn I heard a dropped stick at one point ...

Controlling Percussion Sounds (Short loops)

<r>Hi Ralph,<br/>
<br/>
<E>:oops:</E> <br/>
<br/>
The computer had been on for 4 or 5 hours working on the same song. I shut Cubase down 3 times and still got the same problem. Now the PC has been off for an hour, I can't get it to happen at all.<br/>
<br/>
Perhaps something else was interfering ...

Controlling Percussion Sounds (Short loops)

<t>I have searched the forums and haven't seen a post about this.<br/>
<br/>
I'm using Jamstix 2.5.0 in Cubase Essential 4, and am having problems with the kit control for percussion when playing a 1 or 2 bar loop (this is when I had problems trying to place a drum that only plays in short bursts so ...

Unresolved anxiety

Not only is the anxiety unresolved, so is the harmony. I felt the need to resolve the harmony and play the final chord an A minor (La).

Demo Songs

<r>I've just finished my first demos with JS2. They are the first two songs here http://www.myspace.com/stevelaming <br/>
<br/>
I think JS is amazing, almost as if it's reading my mind <E>:shock:</E> . I've now got to find a drummer that can match it live <E>:?</E> (especially for subtlety)<br/>
