Thanks for the replies.
I wonder if I hit something by mistake that may have limited the hi-hat volume. I started another project with the same drummer and kit. The hats were able to be turned up as much as I needed.

<t>Are you saving the project in Mixcraft or just saving the song in Jamstix.<br/>
<br/>
When you save the song in Jamstix, it only saves the MIDI pattern and the kit is saved separately. In order to open the song with that kit it has to be saved via the DAW.<br/>

JS3 How do i force more power to the hi-hats?
Jamstix 3
My hi-hat cymbals are always weak sounding. Turning the volume up in kits doesn't help much.
I like loud hi-hats. But, I can hardly hear them in the mix. How do I make the player hit them harder or whatever else I can do to make them stand out?

<t>I know what you're talking about now. I didn't know that it was referred to as the "pin connector".<br/>
<br/>
You managed to get me looking a bit deeper into the pan settings. I could have just used my new template but I had to know what the problem was. I thought it was something in Jamstix ...

<t>Thanks for replying. <br/>

I assume perhaps you meant "pan settings" rather than "pin"?<br/>

I think I got it now. The GUI shows all the knobs at 12:00. But when I opened the full volume dialog by right clicking the volume slider, I found that I must have accidentally changed the pan ...

JS3 Toolbox Styles
Jamstix 3
When I load a style from the"Toolbox" category in the Style selector, nothing changes when I add or remove anything in the kick or snare dot grids on any Toolbox style.
Other styles that use the dot grids work for me.

JS3 Save Style Preset?
I think I was causing the problem by copying and pasting styles to different parts. I think that was overriding my presets.

It doesn't save the edits I make to a style default. The next time I access the new preset, it is reverted back to the original notes of my default preset. <br/>
