As an added benefit, the PatchWork stand-alone is a full VST host, so you also get a stand-alone version of Jamstix with no need for a DAW!

It does work stand-alone but the issue with that versus using JS in a DAW is that it does not support time signature changes, similar to other vst hosts I ...

Jamstix 4 Manager Problem

<r><QUOTE><s>
</s>Are you suggesting I create a C:\Program Data\ Jamstix 4 Data folder, and put a copy of the Jamstix4Manager.exe in it?<e>
</e></QUOTE>

Why not, it won't hurt anything. On my computer the C:\ProgramData\Jamstix 4 Data folder contains:<br/>

My verdict on Jamstix vs EZ Drummer 3

<r><QUOTE><s>
</s>I wish Jamstix had the grid editor like Ezdrummer.<e>
</e></QUOTE>

The Jamstix Classic style is basically a grid editor but with only 1/16 resolution. You can achieve greater resolution with the +or - 24th, 32nd, 48th timing adjustments but that is quite time ...

Jamstix 4 Manager Problem

I just thought of something. Check the Security settings for C:\ProgramData\Jamstix 4 Data under Properties and add "Everyone" to the Group or User Names.

Jamstix 4 Manager Problem

You can also try clicking the blue Jamstix logo, Help>Open Manager/Update Tool or Help>About Jamstix and see if any of those work. All 4 choices work on my system in Reaper/Win 10.

Jamstix4 Crashes with Click/Drag Midi Operation

It works fine in Reaper for me. You might want to try saving it as a midi file and then importing it into Cakewalk and see if that works instead.

Jamstix 4 Manager Problem

Check C:\ProgramData\Jamstix 4 Data and see if the Jamstix4Manager.exe file is located there. If not, find and copy it there.

Mapping Confusion

<t>Hi Ronnie,<br/>
Jamstix is really deep and one of the things that completely amazes me is that after all of the years I've been using the software, I still occasionally find something I did not know before. A lot of the things I discovered and learned have been the result of checking out problems ...
