Your original proposed 10/4 solution seems like it could be a good way to deal with the matter.
Too early for a Jamstix 5 Wishlist?
(I would be grateful just to get current functionality in VST3 format for future-proofing, but anything else is a bonus!)

List of Actual Drummers the Jamstix Drummers Are Based On?
<r>Thanks Azimuth, I had forgotten that the rest of the data was still installed to Program data even if you select a different path for sounds <E>:oops:</E> <br/>
<br/>
Have now added a shortcut to that alongside the sounds folder to help me work it out next time my brain fades <E>:lol:</E> <br ...

List of Actual Drummers the Jamstix Drummers Are Based On?
<r>Apologies for being forgetful, but can someone remind me how to set these up?<br/>
<br/>
I seem to remember there was a separate folder for 'players'.<br/>
But I've just done clean install of JS4 into my new Win11 DAW, and only have one sub-folder' for 'Sounds' under my data folder <br/>

Cubase 12 compatibility?
I bit the bullet and installed Cubase 12 (still running Win10).
So far so good with Jamstix - seems to be running smoothly 8)

Host Syncronization
I try to build the same song structure in JS4 and my DAW using Markers.
Then I can click within Jamstix to edit parts but move to the relevant DAW marker to hear that in context.

Muting Accents and Fills
<t>I have belatedly just discovered the Mute function in the Song Menu for Accents and Fills. As described in the manual this is helpful when trying to get the main groove right 8) <br/>
But it is a bit out-of-sight in everyday usage...<br/>
<br/>
Suggestion: would be good to have the option to mute ...

Brain Elements Frame Colors
Good to know 8)
Probably time to for another read of my own manual - something new generally sticks each time I do
.
Or should that be 'stix'?
I'll get my coat...

Cubase 12 compatibility?
Perhaps I should have said that the status of VST2 is ambiguous. I’m hopeful all will be good, but would be reassured to hear that it has been tested.
Also hoping for Jamstix to be issued in VST3 format to ensure it is available for another generation or three of DAWs….
