At http://rekkerd.org/bootsy-plug-ins/ you'll find all Bootsy plugins on one page, there is some great new stuff, too.
Don't take the word "nasty" literally, try them out.

Install the original JS2 and your paks, update to 2.2 and then, if you want, you can update with the latest beta dll (very stable).
Don't forget your sound paks.
