skipped due to early downbeat

<t>I haven't had any trouble with this in a long time (possibly because I've been using different drummer models?) – if I recall correctly, there was an update to Jamstix some time after this discussion that made locked notes take precedence over early downbeats. That allowed me to work around the ...

skipped due to early downbeat

<r>Right. I reset the song, and now I have unremovable early downbeats in other fills.<br/>
Just like before, though, only in some of them. It seems like the issue coincides with (invisible) china hits placed on the four-and in the fill, along with the early downbeat kick. That is, I don't have any ...

skipped due to early downbeat

<t>Sure, here's a song that contains one single part with the problem: http://jk.gs/downbeat_weirdness.j2d<br/>
It happens in the repeat fill. Even if I manually remove all visible notes from it, I still appear to have an extra kick in there, so there does seem to be an early downbeat... but I can't ...

skipped due to early downbeat

I actually planned on mentioning that but somehow forgot. Tony is the one playing this song.
(By the way, one of the other things I tried, without success, was to crank the style<->drummer slider for the fill all the way in both directions.)

skipped due to early downbeat

<t>Sorry for necromantizing the thread, but I've got a pretty persistent problem with this.<br/>
<br/>
Example situation: got a Standard Rock groove with a kick on 1 and a snare on 4-and (and some other stuff in between that probably doesn't matter here). Then there's a fill, with early downbeats ...

My JS3 debut: "What Kind Of Love Are You Looking For&am

<t>Here's another song I wrote and recorded in about two days for a fast-paced songwriting competition thingy. It's my first song made with JS3; IIRC Tony is playing on this one along with Percy on Jamcussion.<br/>

Echoes Through The Streets

<t>Wonderfully atmospheric. Super-fitting drums. Vocals seem a bit overexcited (in the mixing sense) and seem a bit emotionally flat. Would it be mean to say that I like the instrumental parts the most? I don't know. At any rate, the intro (and other similar parts) has much more of an impact than ...

Before/after: "Stomach For It"

<t>I don't know "Big Dumb Face". I have to admit I'm pretty illiterate in music land. I'm going to check them out in a minute.<br/>
There is bass, but it's a synth that has more growl than bass to it. Good idea, though, I'll see whether I can change it up a bit.<br/>
It's not too big a deal that you ...
