Is anyone using Jamstix on Mac?

I got this working (latest Jamstix 4 Beta) using the instructions here:

http://rayzoon2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8293

Requires BlueCatAudio Patchwork, but it seems to work fine.

Edit: lags slightly

Problems with the bar lock button

Workaround I found: there's a tiny spot to the lower right of the area OUTSIDE the icon that seems to work consistently. Clicking anywhere on the icon itself still fails, though.

Problems with the bar lock button

<t>Whenever I try to lock or unlock an individual bar, it takes anywhere from 3-10 clicks until it "catches." I have no problem with the "lock/unlock all bars" menu items, just the icon in the bar view. rzdlog info:<br/>

What determines which beats get the snare in various modes?

<t>I sometimes create grooves that focus on the snare on beat 3. Most of the time, I just program them manually. Occasionally, though, I manage to get "beat 3"-focused grooves using the auto compose feature. What determines when that gets focused on? I typically use the metal styles, and I haven't ...

Thank you for automatic time signature detection

This is a great feature that saves an incredible amount of time and tedium.

Thanks for adding it

Teaching JS your rhythm, JS3 edition

<r>S3 edition', 'The advice last time this was asked was:<br/>

Start with 'Silent' as the style and 'Machine' as the drummer. That way no extras are added to the groove.

Sound with Jamstix MIDI output to external VST

Another wrinkle:

If I go to the Battery MIDI track and reset the input (from Jamstix - meaning I just re-click the already selected MIDI channel in the MIDI input channel menu AGAIN) it starts working for a while.

Sound with Jamstix MIDI output to external VST

<t>I described a problem in another thread, but it seems that the main issue is more general than originally described.<br/>
<br/>
I have an externally hosted VST as drum output (Battery 3) driven by Jamstix 3 (outputting MIDI only.) I only ONLY get output from Battery after going into its interface ...

Control automation in SONAR X1

<t>Can someone step me through the process of getting parameter automation working with SONAR X1 and Jamstix? I'm trying to set up an envelope to control the song dynamics knob in JS, but haven't gotten very far. Setting an arbitrary track envelope to channel 7 to match what's set for the knob in JS ...
