Influencing Hi Hats
<t>Another useful technique is to use the preview button when in the bar editor window. This is a technique you use without the DAW running. Click any bar under preview and the chosen bar will play constantly repeating. Next you can make subtle adjustments and see how the drumming changes as you ...

Superior Drummer 3 Mappings
When using Superior Drummer 3 I used Midi out template for SD3 with 4 toms as my SD3 kit had 4 toms. However the Kit piece listing in Jamstix has tom 1, 2,4 and 5 and tom 3 is missing. There should not be a tom 5 for this template.

Kudos to Ralph and A_zimuth!
Yes agreed they are very helpful. You can download the full manual from the Rayzoon website if you click 'more information' and then 'document library'. It is quite comprehensive

McAfee quarantines JS4SL32.RTXC
McAfee is a notorious product for causing all kinds of problems with set-ups and installs. I personally would recommend that you choose an alternative. If you have Windows 7 - 10 why not use the completely free Windows Defender

Changing a style and player preset for one or more bars
<t>Thanks for that info - it works and is quite an easy workaround. <br/>

I was experimenting a little with this aspect and tried on an un-locked bar changing some style presets. I was using Basic Rock with James Stix as the drummer. When I changed style preset from Default to 16th hi-hat to ...

Changing a style and player preset for one or more bars
<t>If you switch a player preset for a particular bar from default to focused or hand on toms obviously the playing style changes and it's great to use the 'Preview' bar function for this. Is it possible to set it so that the switched preset is just for that bar or those selected few bars while the ...

Styles and Drummers
The Styles and Frummers list you have available on the website would be a useful inclusion in the Jamstix 4 User Guide I think. Perhaps you could even expand on it a little as it explains which drummers are best for each style.

Output Wave Files to Multiple Tracks
<t>It's easy to produce separate wave files in REAPER from Jamstix. Just click insert vst instrument to make a new track and REAPER asks if you want to make separate outputs for each channel. Now if you make sure the Jamstix mixer is set for 8 outputs then you have separate channels in REAPER mixer ...

Change kits half way through a song?
<t>Could you output the MIDI on your electronic drum track then remove Jamstix on that track and place it on the other track with the normal drumkit of your choice. Then you can output audio from this drum track when you are happy with it (output the MIDI here as well). Then remove this Jamstix ...
