More than one instance of Jamstix?

Turns out it was something flukey with my laptop running Vista. The song settings for both instances save and load automatically with my Desktop running Windows 8.1 x64 and Sonar X1 and X3 x64.

I'm using the 32 Bit versions for now because the 64 bit versions seem to load my poor little (and oldish) laptop too much.<br/>

More than one instance of Jamstix?

<t>I seem to remember something about this not being supported, but I'm not sure, and can't find the right search words to find it.<br/>
<br/>
I've tried it for a Doobie Bros (sans McDonald) style song, and have run across the issue that the second instance resets all the song data on reload. I can ...

<t>Make sure you start fresh with ONLY the open hats you want (and foot closes) in the groove that you change to a style. Make sure you add a priority control to the groove element created, and turn it all the way counter clockwise. iirc it didn't work if it wasn''t all the way.<br/>

Then add ...

Jamstix 3.5.0 Update Available Now

<t>The upgrade process apparently isn't so seamless with respect to time signature changes. I have a song that has switches back and forth between 3/4 and 4/4, at first after the upgrade, the "enable time signature changes" was unchecked. But the song list still showed them, and jamstix kept looping ...

Yeah, that would work too! Good idea. It would generally be nice to be able to add particular accent elements in any case.

The bias slider on an open hats accent element might work too for this case, but it's hard to judge exactly where to put it for a particular timing.

<t>The key was realizing that the import groove element was just another style element like any other, heck you can even add more than one.<br/>
<br/>
But ratz, the priority control doesn't work as I had hoped. It either does it every time or it doesn't do it at all.<br/>
<br/>
Maybe add a ...

<t>Ok, I feel foolish, of course there is a way to do it, duh.... <br/>
<br/>
I just made the groove in the bar editor with only the open hats on 2 and 4, with the hat foot a 16th after, changed that to a style, added a priority control to that element turned all the way to the left.... (could turn ...

But another problem I have, is how do you do something like that combined with the classic controls that give a chance to set the likelihood of given hits on say, the kick.

Like to get the variation, but just force the open hats at certain times in the groove.
